World Climate Summit 2015 announces its first partners
August 10, 2015 (Paris and Copenhagen) — The World Climate Summit 2015 is proud to announce its first partners for this year’s historic event during the UNFCCC COP21. They include:Vestas, Iberdrola, Alstom, DEWA, European Investment Bank, State of Green, Carbon Tracker, and Carbon Trust. Our partners are ready to tackle climate change through their involvement in the various plenaries at the Summit, with a programme that focuses on topics like building consensus within the international community for climate action, and forming an integrated and comprehensive agenda for climate change. Anders Runevad, CEO of Vestas, says, “Vestas seeks to be a global sustainability leader among key climate stakeholders, and our current campaign, ‘A Race We Must Win,’ raises awareness about the critical energy choices the world is facing.” Additionally, Ignacio Galán, CEO of Iberdrola, says, “Iberdrola is firmly committed to fighting against climate change and to the development of sustainable energy by becoming carbon neutral by 2050.” This year’s Summit will be coordinated with Sustainia, a sustainability think tank, and will take place on December 6 in Paris, France. The World Climate Summit is inviting CEOs, celebrities, and other leaders to discuss and promote business, finance, and government climate actions. The Summit will end with the distribution of Sustainia Awards. |
We would like to thank our partners for their support. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration at the World Climate Summit 2015! |
