Stephanie Batchelor
Biography
Stephanie Batchelor is the Director of State and International Policy at the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the world’s largest biotechnology trade organization. Among her primary responsibilities, Stephanie provides policy guidance to, and advocates for, technology companies who are leaders in the production of biofuels, renewable chemicals, biobased products, and biomanufacturing processes. Stephanie is a member of the California Air Resource Board’s low carbon fuel standard advisory panel, is the Chair of the Women in Industrial Biotechnology networking group, and speaks regularly at national and international fora on industrial biotechnology issues. Prior to joining BIO, Stephanie worked at the European Economic and Social Committee, where she focused on transportation and energy policy. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and History from the University at Albany, and a Master of Arts in International Relations/Politics from New York University.
